Poop In NYC (Opinion)

around 187th in Authur st theres a block called the SHIT block because every space in the block is full of poop. I always wonder why is it that the bronx in the most abanded borough in NYC. Is it us the people in it or is it the lack of attention the goverment gives the bronx.

People seem to litter a lot in the bronx walking down in the street and seeing a piece of crap in the floor its a normal thing for us. It has become part of the bronx. We even try to find something positive of it since we have so much of it. " if you step on crap that means good luck". Isnt that pathetic?

Sometimes i look at the city and its not like we all really see in the pictures. The only positive thing from it its the lights and the high buildings. When it comes to negative i could go on forever. Thiefs,Littering,Poop,Bums ECT but for some reason i still love to live in it. If you asked me I am a Bronx girl and love even the negative things from it.

Trash In NYC

As you may see in the picture above NYC is a place where people litter a lot. Its such a big place and many dont try to take care of it. a Friend of mines has a blog about trash in which NYC is in. It shows how trash in NYC hurts us economically and we dont seem to stop it.

Fare Hikes In NYC

This is what some of us in NYC see of MTA since the fare is going to change. not for better but for worst; at least in our pocket is going from $2 to $2.25. It must be just a quarter but little by little that quarter hurts us with the money we work for.

Sidekick In NYC

The phone that every teenager seems to carry around. The new thing in 2009 . The Sidekick. This phone has become not only the new thing but the new target of choices for thieves.

" A 21 year old man recently walked along Orchard and Hawthorn streets, when a stranger approached and asked for a cigarette. The man felt uneasy and tried to run away for his sidekick." as it was said in the article thats 1 out of many times people got robbed for their phone.

According to police reports, there have been 12 to 16 robberies in New Bedford this year in which someone was accosted for a Sidekick.

I think sidekicks are a lot of fun to have but is something that its hard to not be in danger while you own one in the city. I personally have one and i got robbed in the street once and 2 times in school (they went in my bookbag).The city seems to always bring something negative to those things that are suppose to be fun.

Not Even An Actor Escapes From NYC's CHAOS!

Kevin Bacon was in the B D and E station at 53 st when they robbed his phone. He tried to run after the theft but Kevin wasn't able to catch up with him. The theft probably wanted to take his phone to sell all his information. Kevin is A famous person so image how it is for those that aren't and roam the city on daily basics. People robbing your electronics in the city is something you always have to be aware of. It has become a hobby to many; take other people stuff and RUN.

For some people having homeless in the NYC is a joke they find it entertaining to the point that they have a website with homeless people with their pictures and names.Its sad to see does people roam around without a stable house and certain with drug addictions. Having Homeless crusing around NYC has becomes a habit something that you would never thought a city with nice lights and building will be surrounded by.

NYC 'Preppie Killer' Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

A man called Robert Chamber known as the preppie Killer who was roamed around the city was put in jail once again after already serving 15 years in prison for strangling a woman in central park in which he called rough sex. After being found guilty to selling drugs the Manhattan district attorney's office said "Chambers is promised 19 years and four months in prison when he is sentenced on Sept. 2." Robert Chamber and his girlfriend were charged for dealing with cocaine out of their apartment in 2007.





Comment: People like Robert Chambers could walk around you in the City and you would not notice in how much risk of being in danger your in . Things like this happen on the regular in the city and its something scary and unsecure to be around.

My City My OPINION

I Was born in Puerto Rico, left at the age of 7 and since then I lived the rest of my life in a place that's consider the city where nobody sleeps ; NEW YORK CITY! When you're in the highway and you look at all those lights you fall in love with the city. It looks beautiful and full of life. All those lights really fools you I know I was the first time I stepped New York. I saw it as marvelous place that many will give their lifes to be in. But I never put myself to think of all the wasted of lifes that occurred there .

I'm a seventeen years old that lives in the Bronx and everywhere I go around the city i carry my phone to communicate with my mother and for her to make sure I'm safe. Now and days is not even safe to carry a phone around because when you lease expect it it will be snatch out of your hands or even get pressed to give it away. This is what this city offers me in life; to be scared to use my phone when is needed, to look around in every type of angle to know whats around me because I don't know what could happen in any second. Its sad to see all those drug addicts and homeless considering the train stations their shelter. It's ridiculous how gangs is what define teenagers these days. and it embarrasses me of girls my age giving their bodies away for money.

This is stuff I sometimes run into in the city that city that's supposedly enchanting by its building,people, fashion and lights. How is it possible for a city with so much light to be surrounded with so much darkness. All the lights from the city flashes you away from reality.
